Description: South African knifemaker Andre van Heerden creates an amazing folder -- and at a price that could never be found from an American handmade knife.
The powdered metallurgical (PM) stainless steel blade has an heirloom quality satin finish. The steel and Andre's exceptional heat treatment ensure a keen, long lasting edge. The blade is hollow ground for an easy to maintain edge. By creating a differential finish, Andre accentuates the unique, crisp grind lines.
The blade is easily opened with a simple flick of the wrist or using flipper mechanism. The blade is well centered and has silky smooth action, due to the IKBS (Ikoma Korth Bearing System) pivot system. This mechanism, which was originally designed to fit balisong knives, uses ball bearings to create smooth action with no blade play.
3D textured G10 provides a sure, comfortable grip. Titanium liners and a G10 backbar keep the knife light and fast. It is easy to keep this handmade folder close at hand with the machined titanium pocket clip mounted for tip-up carry. Excellent fit and finish throughout!
