Description: Mastersmith Rick Dunkerley is best known for his detailed folders that have been part of defining the Montana Boys' knives. As an avid hunter and owner of Mineral Creek Outfitters, however, Rick sees the need for precision hunting knives that are the pinnacle of a use knife. Each year he makes a small number of hunting knives.
This gent's hunter has a blade forged from 1084 and 15N20 carbon steels. The spine is fileworked for a secure thumb purchase.
Amber jigged bone scales are set on a full tang for strength and durability. Hand fileworked and heat blued screws set the scales in place. The amber jigged bone is slightly domed for a comfortable grip. As you would expect, the fit and finish is spectacular.
The knife is accompanied by a leather sheath with beaver tail inlay.
