Description: Montana bladesmith James Luman is well known for his creativity and ingenuity. This pipe hawk shows off both well.
James began by forging the head, creating a damascus that he calls lace pattern. The bold steel immediately grabs attention. The presentation grade curly maple haft is inlaid with fine silver. A pewter mouthpiece is inlaid directly into the maple haft. The top of the haft is completed with an elk antler plug for easy cleaning.
The head measures 7-3/4 inches from the end of the bowl to the cutting edge. The cutting face measures approximately 2 inches.
Exceptional work throughout!
