Description: Jim began this hunter by forging the blade to shape from 5160 carbon steel. He hardened and tempered it to 56-57 Hrc and drew the spine back with a torch anneal. This, in combination with an appleseed grind, results in a soft, supportive spine and a keen, long lasting edge. A hand rubbed satin finish adds elegance to the knife.
The handle is formed from stabilized fiddleback maple and mammoth ivory surrounded by nickel silver fittings. Black fiber spacers assist the handle to adjust to temperature and humidity changes. The handle is completed with a nickel silver button nut. The knife is accompanied by a hand tooled leather sheath. Excellent work throughout!
