Description: Lonnie Hanson is well known for his tomahawks. Before he started making hawks, he was well known for his exquisite fillet knives. This salmon-sized filet knife was made by him in the mid 1990s. It has been in a private collection and has been meticulously cared for. It is in new condition and has never been used to cut.
The knife is comfortable in the hand and weighted to give good control. The fit and finish are excellent. The copper and micarta reflect the colors in the presentation grade Arizona desert ironwood. The copper habaki (blade guard) is inspired by habaki on Japanese swords.
The ATS-34 stainless steel blade will hold up well under heavy use. It has the slightest flex and is perfect for filleting.
The knife is accompanied by a wood presentation box.
