The handle is very traditional and has a slim oval shape that fits comfortably and securely in the hand. The reindeer antler has a slight gloss finish, bringing out natural variations in color. The traditional Sami patterns on the sheath and handle are not scrimshaw, but hand engraving, darkened with alder bark powder. The engraving is very detailed, showing tremendous skill in implementation. Reindeer leather is used throughout. Exceptional fit and finish throughout!
