Description: P-O Eklund is a master of the Sami styled knife and regularly receives awards in the Swedish Championships. Seeing his work, it is no surprise.
This knife is truly a one-of-a-kind piece. The blade was forged by renowned Swedish bladesmith Roger Bergh. Roger forged together 20C and 15N20 carbon steels into a bold, high contrast twist pattern. The handle is very traditional and has a slim oval shape that fits comfortably and securely in the hand. The reindeer antler has a slight gloss finish, bringing out natural variations in color. Sallow root spacers add a nice contrast. The traditional Scandinavian patterns on the sheath and handle are not scrimshaw, but hand engraving, darkened with alder bark powder. The engraving is very detailed, showing tremendous skill in implementation. The right side of the handle is inlaid with a section of Mattias Styrefors damascus. Exceptional fit and finish throughout! Accompanied by reindeer leather storage pouch.
