Description: Here we have a classic slipjoint trapper folding knife by Journeyman Smith Bruce Barnett. A maker from Australia, he has worked alongside some of the most prominent knifemakers in the world. This is the first multiple blade folder we have had from him. It sports handles made from ringed gidgee, a tree native to Bruce's homeland. Ringed gidgee is a desert acacias and is very hard and tough. It is extremely durable and less prone to scratching and damage than softer woods. The scales are secured by three stainless pins on each side, and the pins are flawlessly milled smooth to the wood.
The liners and bolsters are also stainless steel. Both bolsters have been hand engraved by Amanda Guest in floral scroll style.
The blades are satin finished 440C stainless steel. The clip point blade is distal tapered, while the spey blade retains the blade thickness to the tip, offering a stout geometry for serious utility. A simple yet elegant piece that can be put to real use, or just be a pocket companion for daily tasks. As at home in a high end collection as used in the field!
