Description: Collectors of Anders' work know that he has some of the tightest tolerances of any maker, anywhere. Anders excels in creating a fusion of Japanese and Nordic styles. Perhaps most dramatic of his knives are the fossil ivory boot knives.
The guard is cast from bronze, textured and antiqued. By casting, he is able to create fittings that integrate into the boot knife, creating a true masterwork. The hamon (temper line) created by Anders' clay heat treatment process makes a knife that has excellent edge retention, while also having the support of a softer central core. The handle is formed from ancient walrus ivory and has burnt cream and caramel tones throughout. The knife is accompanied by a single seamed traditional Swedish boot knife sheath. Exceptional fit and finish throughout.
