Description: This exceptional folder is the work of South African knifemaker Andre Thorburn. The blade and bolsters were formed from Vinland pattern Damasteel stainless damascus. The pattern is intricately folded and very high contrast, the effect from far away being of a pewter-toned blade that fractures into fascinating complexity up close. The blade itself is well centered and has a luxuriously smooth action, a stainless steel thumb stud aiding speedy deployment.
The damascus bolsters are perfectly fit to mammoth ivory scales. The mammoth ivory combines green and caramel tones. This color combination is among the most desirable, and most rare to find. Blue anodized titanium liners have been enhanced with filework along the spine. Red fiber spacers assist the knife to adjust to temperature and humidity changes while providing a dramatic flash of contrast. Excellent fit and finish throughout.
