Description: Bob Lay's designs are well thought through and show an amazing degree of craftsmanship. Stabilized red maple nicely offsets light toned stag. Thin black fiber spacers assist the handle to adjust to temperature and humidity changes. The brass guard and aerospace grade aluminum butt cap create a perfect balance in the hand. The butt cap is completed with a lanyard. This Bob Lay is very rare in that it combines stainless and brass fittings. By mirror polishing the flats of the blade and satin finishing the grinds, Bob creates a knife with grind lines that are very dramatic. The blade has been heat treated to Rc 58.5 for optimal edge retention. Accompanied by certificate from the maker.
