The A2 carbon steel blade is etched with a relief for his maker's mark. This results in a "damascene" pattern that has made his work well known. The A2 carbon steel blade was heat treated by Paul Bos to Rc 59 and will have exceptional edge holding. The fit between nickel silver bolsters and mother of pearl scales is excellent -- without a perceptible seam. Exceptional work throughout!
