Description: This set of three classic daggers is a hallmark of Joe Kious' career. This set was made over 20 years ago and it is in near mint condition. It has been meticulously cared for, with the knives stored under glass, and they appear virtually untouched since they were first made.
The dagger ground blades were formed from 440C stainless steel. They are satin finished on the flats and mirror polished in the grinds. The smallest blade measures 3-1/2 inches (5-2/3 inches overall). The middle sized blade is 6-1/3 inches (10-2/3 inches overall). The largest dagger is 10-/4 inches long and has an overall length of 15-3/4 inches.
Oval guards and ferrule alternate satin finished stainless steel with fileworked brass. Meticulously spiral fluted ivory handles culminate in twisted gold wire wrap. The pre-ban ivory used throughout is pristine.
The set is accompanied by a wooden presentation case lined with French fitting felt. The key to the box is not present.
