Description: Hunting swords were common throughout Europe in the 17th-18th centuries. They were frequently carried by huntsmen of the royal courts. Because they were so very favored, these hunting swords were often worn as a protective weapon in everyday wear.
Mastersmith Red St. Cyr's European Style Hunting Sword is true to form. The long, slender blade and swooping damascus S-guard show off Red's Damascus to perfection. The handle is formed from Sambar stag. Sambar stag of this quality has become increasingly hard to come by. Exceptional work throughout!
