Description: Twisted Tribal Dagger is featured in Knives 2012 on page 67. This annual compendium of knives chronicles some of the most exciting work of the year. This knife is featured in a section discussing integral knives. Integral knives, like this, are extremely difficult to create and show tremendous skill.
Serge Panchenko was born in the Ukraine in 1983 and was always fascinated by knives. In 2005, when he visited his first knife show, he was inspired to try making a knife of his own. Though he makes practical hunters and tactical knives, art knives are his passion.
Serge began Twisted Tribal Dagger by forging the blade from a Nicholson file. The 1095 carbon steel will have excellent edge holding. The blade is perfectly dagger ground. The twisted handle shows the file's texture and has been polished on the sides for a comfortable grip. The handle is completed with two hand domed copper pins.
The knife is accompanied by a presentation stand formed from copper and wood, and mild steel.
Exceptional work throughout!
