Description: This elegant straight razor is inspired by the straight razor's of Japan. The O1 carbon steel handle and blade are mirror polished for a clean, modern appearance. Broad, sweeping lines immediately captivate attention.
Dan has spent a considerable amount of time perfecting his heat treatment process. The blade was hardened using high temperature molten salts and quickly cooled (quenched) in oil. The blade was then cryogenically tempered in liquid nitrogen to achieve sub-zero temperatures. This relieves stresses in the steel caused by the hardening process. The resulting steel is very hard and tough with excellent edge holding abilities. The handle is fileworked to ensure a secure grip.
