Description: This sharpening set is comprised of best quality natural waterstones. Despite the excellent performance of man-made stones, many experienced sharpeners still rely on natural stones (toishi) for sharpening their finest blades. Natural Japanese stones may be used with water only and must be kept protected from frost. Please note that the stones may have slight natural imperfections and may vary somewhat in size.
The initial shaping is done with a large Large Amakusa Natural Brown Stone. Moving through the Large Amakusa Natural White Stone and Natural Aoto Mountain Blue Stone removes initial scratches. The final razor edge is achieved using the XL Honyama Finishing Stone. A Nagura Stone and a deluxe stone holder finish out the set.
