Description: Bruce Barnett is a Western Australian knifemaker living in the hills of Perth. Bruce is one of the fine Australian makers who is drawing the attention of the knifemaking world to the wealth of knifemaking talent in his country. Bruce's attention to detail and fine design aesthetic is clearly apparent in this elegant and high performing fighter. Bruce was honored as an ABS journeyman smith in June 2011.
This fighter features a 7.6 inch damascus blade hand forged to shape. The blade features a raised 'harpoon' clip and a slight recurve for aggressive cutting.
The nickel silver guard is precision fit to the blade. A black fiber spacer assists the handle to adjust to temperature and humidity changes. The handle is formed from curly jarrah wood (Eucalyptus marginata). This Australian wood is extremely hard and durable. It is so resistant to decay that it is used in marine work. The knife can be kept close at hand with sheath made from cape buffalo hide. Excellent work throughout.
