Description: Another exquisite piece by Tom Sterling! Tom is renowned for his "knapped" steel knives and seeing this one it is clear why -- combining the durability of steel with the dramatic, primitive appearance of a knapped blade.
This neck knife features a 1080 carbon steel blade. The carved steel is antiqued to resemble knapped stone. The antler handle has nice texture and is completed with a hand engraved copper buttcap. The knife is accompanied by a frontier-style rawhide sheath suspended by a handmade, antiqued copper chain with hand forged copper hardware. The front of the sheath is decorated with a hand forged copper snake fetish. Exceptional work throughout!
