Description: A truly remarkable Wayne Whittaker folding knife! The bolsters and well-centered blade are both formed from matching hot blued Robert Eggerling mosaic damascus. Highly complex patterns are created in the multi-bar steel and are fascinating both from a distance and upon closer examination. The hot blued steel offsets the faceted amethyst-inlaid thumb stud beautifully.
Speckled ivory toned oosic scales are an excellent match to the damascus -- the elegant natural patterns of the oosic complementing the damascene patterns perfectly. Anodized titanium liners are meticulously fileworked, and coordinating filework decorates the backbar -- along with inlaid sections of matching oosic. The interior of the backbar is fileworked surrounding the maker's mark, a nice touch. Ten faceted amethysts, inlaid into the sculpted bolsters, bring out the subtle purple tones of the hot bluing well. A domed mosaic pin inlaid into a lanyard hole completes the handle. Excellent work throughout!
