Description: South African knifemaker, Andre Van Heerden, creates an amazing folder -- and at a price that could never be found from an American handmade knife.
The recurve, clip point blade is formed stainless damascus. The blade features dramatic, swooping grind lines traveling across the damascus surface.
Very rare lightning strike carbon fiber scales rest on anodized titanium, keeping this knife light and fast. Copper strands move through the carbon fiber weave. This type of carbon fiber was originally designed for use on fighter jets to redirect electricity. Lightning strike carbon fiber is among the hardest to find knifemaking materials. The color and pattern of the carbon fiber compliments the damascus well. The resulting handle will have excellent durability as a using knife, but will easily feel at home in a collection. The blade is well centered and has as silky-smooth action as a knife can have. Excellent fit and finish throughout.
