Description: Master Smith Henry Torres had the opportunity to work under renowned bladesmith Bill Burke back in 2006 and they have remained close friends since. Their friendship has allowed Henry to best understand Bill's techniques of heat treating and implementation, which result in a level of edge holding rarely found elsewhere. Henry heat treated this blade using the many of the techniques he learned while working with bill. A triple quench assures exceptional edge holding.
The slender gently upswept blade is perfect for the detail tasks necessary for dressing fish and birds. It was forged to shape from 52100 carbon steel -- a steel that many makers and collectors feel to be amongst the best for edge holding. A meticulous hand satin finish lends an heirloom quality. The 416 stainless steel guard is perfectly fit to the blade. Black fiber spacers assist the knife to adjust to temperature and humidity changes. Accompanied by a pouch style leather sheath. Excellent fit and finish throughout.
