Description: South African knifemaker Corrie Schoeman designs a spectacular folder and pays attention to every detail.
The damascus blade is a dramatic, thin spear point and has an unsharpened swedge at the spine. The damascus was forged by Ettoré Gianferarri in South Africa. It is high contrast and immediately grabs attention. The blade has silky smooth action and is well centered. It is easily opened using the ruby-inlaid thumb stud.
The titanium liners have been anodized to a deep blue. Over this, Corrie has set a satin finished stainless steel overlay, finally culminating in presentation grade green toned mammoth ivory and twisted mosaic damascus bolsters. The backbar and spine have both been fileworked. A faceted ruby and citrine are set in the backbar. The thin, sleek appearance of this folder is particularly engaging, making it among my favorite knives by Corrie Schoeman to date. Exceptional work throughout.
