Description: Sam Eddleman is an up-and-coming maker to watch. There's often an element of the fantastic in his knives, with stylistic references to both feudal Japan and the contemporary military. Sam made his first knife in 2008 -- as a knife collector he found that making knives himself was the intuitive next step.
Sam's work is holding its own against the big names with this little dashi! Sam enjoys the look of a tanto style blade and this is evident in his interpretation of this traditional Japanese knife. The single bevel blade is made from 154CM stainless steel, hardened to 59-60 Hrc, with a small secondary bevel for a stronger edge. The stealthy feel of this knife is enhanced with the stonewashed black finish - removing the reflective surface creates a tactical advantage.
Rayskin is one of the toughest and most elegant materials available for tactical knife handles. The black rayskin set beneath black nylon wrap continues the low-profile look of the knife. Combined, these two materials ensure a secure, comfortable grip. The knife is kept close at hand with a Kydex neck sheath. Excellent work throughout!
