Description: Jim Arbuckle contours his handles to fit perfectly into the hand, and this sturdy hunter is no exception. The handle is comfortable in several grips so that it can be easily used for different tasks over the course of a day. Both the blade and tang are distal tapered, giving a good balance and feel. Extensive filework in a modified bamboo design runs from the butt to nearly halfway along the blade, which has been hardened and double tempered to Rc58-59. This ensures excellent edge holding ability and toughness. The handle features two perforations and jimping; the perforations make the piece light and maneuverable while the jimping aids grippiness. This design has a detail-oriented point that fits into the smallest areas and has enough belly to be useful for skinning. It is well suited to most field-work involved in hunting. The knife comes with a camo-dyed leather sheath with a wax finish.
