Description: Mastersmith Red St. Cyr forges dramatic, classic American knives. The blade was forged to shape using Red's own damascus steel. He began by combining 1084, 15N20 and O1 carbon steels into a bold random pattern damascus. The blade is differentially heat treated with a soft, supportive spine and a keen, long lasting edge.
The ancient walrus ivory handle is nicely shaped for a comfortable, secure grip. A damascus guard, spacer and butt cap match the blade, and a mirror polished pommel completes the handle well. The knife is accompanied by a leather sheath inlaid with snakeskin. Exceptional work throughout.
