Description: As an avid hunter, Randy knows how a good knife should perform. He loves to "field-test" his designs and feels that a quality knife should not only look great, but perform well as a tool. This knife is no exception.
The hollow ground ATS-34 stainless steel will hold a great edge and will be easy to re-sharpen, due to the hollow grind. It was heat treated by Paul Bos to 59-60 Hrc. The spine was meticulously hand fileworked in a vine pattern. The stacked handle combines desert ironwood and African blackwood -- two of the Earth's hardest woods -- with turquoise and micarta spacers. The resulting handle has a South Western feel. Nickel silver front and rear bolsters bring the weight back into the handle for a secure hold. Black fiber spacers assist the handle to adjust to temperature and humidity changes. Excellent fit and finish throughout.
