Description: It's quite a treat to hold this knife and know that the handle materials are so ancient. While contemplating that, the awareness sinks in that this is a remarkably comfortable knife to hold. The classic Nordic oval shape and silky feel of the handle makes it belong in your hand. Roger's use of ancient materials gives his work a timeless air that I don't find in work from any other makers. The blade features two patterns of Damascus that I've not seen from Roger before. Both are well etched and clear. The fineness of the Damascus mimics the grain of the bones for an integrated look.
