Description: Don began by forging a 57 layer Damascus from 1080 and 15N20 carbon steels. Silver patterns twist through a charcoal grey background. Matching Damascus was used for the blade and backbar. The blade is well centered with smooth action and is easily opened with the faceted sapphire thumb stud. Mammoth ivory scales are dovetailed to the etched carbon steel bolsters for a perfect fit. The exhibition grade mammoth ivory is from the outer bark of the tusk. It features particularly rich green and blue tones with coffee veins moving across the vibrant background. The liners are formed from 15N20 carbon steel and have been hand fileworked, as have the screws throughout. Excellent fit and finish throughout.
