Description: Jeff Driscoll creates knives that transcend the basic utility of blades and move into the realm of true art. This warhorse is ready for battle!
The complex damascus blade was forged by renowned Swedish bladesmith Johan Gustafson. Explosion pattern damascus forged from 15N20 and 20C carbon steels forms the edge bar. The central bars feature complex mosaic tiles depicting horses leaping through an inferno.
The stunning blade is paired with a brass bolster and osage wood handle, sculpted in a sinuous line. The sculpting is entirely done by hand and shows tremendous skill as well as superlative fit and finish. Jeff completes the handle with distressed copper cladding and brass pins, giving the horse an armored appearance. This is dramatic knife offers a variety of comfortable grip positions.
The sheath is sculpted to resemble the head of a horse, and also features distressed copper armor with brass pins. The knife hangs level in the sheath when held by the chamois lanyard and fits in the lined sheath edge up or edge down. When fully inserted into the sheath, the blade's tip forms the horse's tongue. A stunning work of art!
