Description: Eklund is one of the masters of the Sami styled knife and regularly receives awards in the Swedish Championships. Seeing his work, it is no surprise.
This knife is truly a one-of-a-kind piece. The blade was forged by renowned Swedish bladesmith Roger Bergh incorporating multiple bars of Damascus steel. Tightly interwoven rays of damascus steel surround a central radialed damascus bar. The effect of these combined patterns is immediately captivating.
The handle is very traditional and has a slim oval shape that fits very comfortably into the hand. The reindeer antler has a gloss polish, bringing out natural variations in color. The traditional Scandinavian patterns on the sheath and handle are not scrimshaw, but hand engraving, darkened with alder bark powder. The engraving is very detailed, showing tremendous skill in implementation. Exceptional fit and finish throughout! Accompanied by reindeer leather storage pouch.
