Description: South African knifemaker George Muller creates an exceptional knife at a remarkably low price. The hollow ground blade and bolsters are formed from a twist pattern damascus forged by renowned South African bladesmith Bertie Rietveld. Bertie has tremendous control over steel, and the tightly twisted damascus shows off his skills well.
Woolly mammoth molar scales are dovetailed to front and rear damascus bolsters. The bolsters were forged by South African Mastersmith Heather Harvey. Heather is one of two female Mastersmiths in the world and her work has become increasingly hard to find over the years. The mosaic damascus is perfectly sized for the double bolsters. The mammoth tooth combines light and dark tones into a dramatic, ancient handle. Tan and brown fiber spacers assist the handle to adjust to temperature and humidity variations. Titanium liners surround the damascus backbar and keep the knife light and very strong. The spine and liners have been anodized and fileworked. An exceptional find!
