Description: It's not that Mastersmith Wade Colter is the only person to make a Montana Toothpick. He's just got a real style of his own. Journeyman Smith Erik Fritz has spent several years working under Wade, and it wasn't a surprise when Erik decided to try his hand at this Wade Colter classic.
By forging 15N20 and 1084 carbon steels to make his Damascus, Erik assured an optimal carbon ratio. The result is an edge that will stay sharp with extended use. The clip point blade has a repeating ladder and has excellent chatoyancy. Nickel silver fittings include a nickel silver ferrule, pommel and blade collar (to protect the blade from being scratched when inserted into the sheath). The oval guard is 416 stainless steel. Jet black African blackwood forms a perfect contrast. Excellent work throughout!
