Description: The Ishi point was demonstrated to anthropologists in 1911 by the "last wild Indian" in California. It is the "Holy Grail" of pressure knapping. Once a knapper can master the elegant shape, thinness, and expanded notches, he can make any kind of pressure knapped stone tool.
Here, Tom has hand carved an Ishi Point in hardened and tempered 1080 carbon steel. It is done in Tom's signature "knapped steel" style. Accompanied by Pacific yew display box.
