Description: Bob Lay's designs are well thought out and show an amazing degree of craftsmanship. Perhaps most prized and rare of his knives are his Bowies.
The stainless steel guard and butt cap create a perfect balance in the hand while the elk antler forms a great grip. A buffalo horn spacer adds dramatic contrast. The clip is brought to a sharpened edge. By mirror polishing the flats of the blade and satin finishing the grinds, Bob creates a knife with grind lines that are very dramatic. The blade has been heat treated to 57Rc for optimal edge retention. Exceptional fit and finish throughout.
Accompanied by certificate from the maker.
