Description: Kiridashi are small knives used throughout Japan for doing all sorts of tasks. They are used in woodworking for marking and for detail tasks around the house. In the past, these knives were even carried by school children, who would use them to sharpening pencils, cut wood, and the like.
Neil's began making Red Rose Kiridashi by forming the 15N20 carbon steel blade. The blade is sharpened with a single bevel (as is traditional) allowing for a more exact cut or marking. The flats have been engraved on both sides. The engraving continues onto the camel bone handle in the form of scrimshaw. A leather lanyard completes the handle. Accompanied by hand tooled and sewn leather sheath. Excellent work throughout.
