Description: Canadian Bladesmith Mark Banfield created this exceptional, hand forged, fighter. The blade was hand forged from 5160 carbon steel and was differentially heat treated. The resulting blade has a soft, supportive spine, with an ultra-hard, long lasting cutting edge. The blade was then hand satin finished to 400 grit and acid etched for an heirloom appearance. The birdseye maple handle has been nicely shaped for a comfortable grip. Flames are carved on each side. The wood was hand sanded to 400 grit and lightly buffed. Both the copper spacer and pin have been textured. The S-guard was forged from 1800s era wrought iron. Accompanied by a tooled and tooled leather sheath. Excellent fit and finish throughout.
