Description: David Goldberg is a master Japanese Sword Smith as well as a master jeweler. Having learned knife making and damascus fabrication under Mastersmith C. Robin Hudson, and Japanese Sword forging, metallurgy & oroshigane fabrication, under master Japanese swordsmith Michael Bell, it is no surprise that David's work is so well designed and implemented.
The aikuchi blade was forged from chainsaw and carbon steels that results in a dramatic, elegant pattern. A copper habaki (blade guard) protects the blade from scratches. The black palm wood handle is secured with an ebony pin. Accompanied by a palm wood and copper saya (sheath).
This knife has been in a single collection and has been well cared for. It has never been used to cut and is in very good condition. Excellent work throughout!
