Description: Buster Warenski was best known for his art knives -- often decorated with the detailed engraving of his wife, Julie Warenski. He began making knives in 1966 as a hobby and began making knives full time in 1975. With such a long career and such skill, it is no surprise that he has been called "one of the most well-known and prestigious knifemakers our times have produced." Buster Warenski passed away on July 31, 2005.
This upswept skinner was created in the late 1970s and has been in a single collection. It is in new condition, and by appearances, could have been made yesterday. It is a very rare find! A tremendous collector piece for any Warenski collector and the ideal in a use knife for out in the field.
The 440C stainless steel blade has been meticulously hollow ground and mirror polished. It is stamped "B. WARENSKI / RICHFIELD, UT". The rosewood handle has brass fittings and back fiber spacers which allow the handle to adjust to temperature and humidity changes. The handle is an exceptionally comfortable shape. The fit and finish is exceptional and flawless.
