Description: This limited release folder combines ancient fossil bone with 24k gold koftgari ornamentation.
The Typhoon pattern damascus is particularly unique and dramatic, with brilliant silver steel rivulets and eddies traveling across a charcoal black background. The blade is hand-ground and shows off the pattern brilliantly.
The button lock and thumb stud are inlaid with yellow toned citrine to highlight the 24kt gold in the koftgari bolsters. The frame, formed from Koftgari inlaid with 24kt gold, surrounds fossil bone scales. Koftgari is a technique of ornamental work produced by inlaying steel with gold. This results in a variety of damascening of gold moving across a deep black background. Stainless fittings and micro-screws have been 24kt gold plated and create the final open-frame construction of the handle. The leather lanyard is completed with a sterling silver bail and metal beads. Accompanied by William Henry presentation wood box and brown ostrich skin leather ClipCase for easy carry. The knife is individually numbered. This folder is number 28 of 50 made. Serial No. 830-0505 28/50. Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
