Description: The large, hand forged Damascus blade shows off Jody's bold patterned Damascus steel. This is made all the more impressive by the hamon (clay heat treatment line) that travels across the blade. Jody created a gently undulating hamon, showing a soft, supportive spine with a hard, long lasting cutting edge. The blade is perfectly weighted for a chopping motion. The exhibition grade mammoth ivory bark handle has been nicely sculpted for a secure fit in the hand. The central pin is hollow for a lanyard. The guard has been engraved. Excellent fit and finish throughout. A spectacular collector's knife from a great maker to watch!
