Description: Corrie Schoeman has once again used the fine Damascus steels made by Ettoré Gianferarri to create a captivating one-of-a-kind folder. The blade is modified Spirograph pattern Damascus in a reverse tanto style. Fossilized mammoth tooth scales resting on a stainless steel underlay make up the handle of the knife. The mammoth tooth scales are reminiscent of the stripes on a Siberian tiger and act as magnificent centerpiece. The liners, back bar, and blade are all fileworked, leaving textures that are interesting to the eye and hand. The back bar of the knife is fileworked with a vertical pattern prominently featuring a serpentine pattern. The thumb stud and the elegantly fileworked back bar both sport inset rubies. The bronze bolsters are textured in a way that elegantly complements the stippling found on the stainless underlay. The titanium liners are mirror polished and anodized. The titanium back bar is an anodized blue and bears Schoeman’s name. X-Tort is an excellent example of Schoeman’s handiwork, and his attention to detail (along with Gianferrari’s beautiful Damascus patterns) have once again accomplished something well and truly special that will catch the eye of any collector.
