Description: This engaging gent's folder has a tremendous presence. The wide, clip point blade was forged from W2 carbon steel. Jody has used a traditional Japanese method of heat treating where the spine is coated with clay to insulate the blade. The resulting blade has a soft, supportive spine, with a hard, long lasting edge. The resulting differential heat treatment line is exceptional and immediately captivating. An antiqued copper thumb stud makes it easy to open and close the blade with one hand. The copper nicely highlights warm tones in the natural ironwood handle.
Exhibition grade desert ironwood scales rest on anodized titanium liners. The titanium backbar has been hand fileworked. The handle has been shaped for a sure, comfortable hold. Smooth action and perfectly centered blade. Exceptional work throughout.
