Description: Bill Burke, who was honored as a journeyman smith June 2003 and became a master smith in 2008. He created this multi-blade slip joint folder in the spring of 2008, just before he became a mastersmith. It has been in a single private collection and has been meticulously cared for. It is in virtually new condition.
Both blades are a pattern that has become a hallmark of Mastersmith Burke's carreer. The highly complex damascus bars forged from 1084 and 15N20 carbon steels, ensuring a keen, long lasting edge. The pattern displays a winding river of fire moving through the blades. Bill included a spey blade and a clip point.
The scales are exhibition grade ancient mammoth ivory. Caramel and chocolate veins travel across the dark cream toned background. The scales are perfectly fit to the 416 front and rear bolsters and are secured with stainless pins. The action is smooth and the blades perfectly centered.
Excellent fit and finish throughout.
