Description: Captain Koyama's work is always fascinating and has a definite Japanese aesthetic. The simplicity of this distinctive folding liner lock is an excellent example of this aesthetic.
The blade is formed from VG10 stainless steel, sandwiched between layers of stainless Damascus. The resulting blade has a keen, long lasting edge with the beauty of layered steel.
The fileworked backbar and liners are formed from hand textured and differentially anodized titanium (both inside and out). Purple, blue, green and gold tones are intermixed. 316L stainless steel bolsters meet perfectly with desert ironwood scales. This features Koyama's Ball Opening System. This unique mechanism locks the folder when the right side is up and unlocks the blade when the left is up. A whimsical bronze frog is sculpted and attached to the backbar. Excellent fit and finish with silky smooth action.
