Description: This dramatic, one-of-a-kind locket incorporates three primary parts: Tom created the base by hand forging and texturing low carbon steel. The 'armor' was hand forged from textured copper and finished off with sterling silver rivets. Finally, under the armor is a hand carved bird skull formed from moose antler. The handmade copper chain was finished with a hand forged copper closure and furniture.
The pendant measures approximately 3 inches in height and 1 1/4 inches in width. This pendant clearly shows Tom's experience making netsuke (small sculptural objects, or toggles, usually worn to suspend objects hung from the sash of the kimono).
The pendant is accompanied by a 25 inch handmade copper chain with a forged copper closure. Exceptional work throughout!
