Description: Named "little boy" in Zulu (the Native language of the area in South Africa where Chris grew up), the Umfaan is the smallest of the Sebenza range of working knives. Weighing just under 1.5 oz. with a 2 1/3" blade, it is a neat pocket knife, easy to carry and easy to use. Like its larger brothers, the Umfaan features the Sebenza Integral Lock, a simple but very positive and effective locking mechanism.
Only 50 of these were made. This is #33 of the fifty.
The BG42 stainless steel blade was hollow ground for easy sharpening. This steel is considered by many knife makers and knife collectors to be among the best steels for knives. At 60-61 Rc, the edge holding will be exceptional. The titanium frame has been satin finished on the left side and bead blasted on the left. It is decorated with anodized recessed circle designs on the left side. The workmanship is, of course, Chris Reeve top quality.
This knife has been in a private collection and is in new condition. It shows no sign of wear and has no scuffing. The blade is razor sharp. Knife is accompanied by original Chris Reeve box.
