Description: Jim has chosen to specialize in hunters and this has allowed him to refine his designs to an exceptional level. With this specialization, it is no surprise that Jim won Best Hunter/Utility with this knife at the 2003 Montana Knifemaker's Association Show. At the time, Jim decided to keep this knife in his private collection, and has just decided it is time to sell it.
The spine has been fileworked for a secure purchase for your thumb while working. A distal tapered blade and tang assure a perfect balance in the hand. The blade has been hollow ground for easy edge maintenance. The blade has been heat treated by a true expert in ATS-34, D'Alton Holder. Black fiber spacers allow the knife to adjust to temperature and humidity changes when out in the field. Exceptional fit and finish.
