Description: Jim Barth makes an exceptional hunter and has refined his designs to a level rarely achieved -- with an eye for excellent fit and finish.
The ATS-34 stainless steel blade was hollow ground for easy maintenance and was given a long-lasting hand satin finish. It was heat treated by a true expert, D'Alton Holder and is Hrc 59-60. It is fileworked along the spine. Desert ironwood scales are set on the distal tapered full tang with 4 stainless steel pins and a lanyard tube. Red fiber spacers bring out warm tones in the wood and help the handle to better adjust to temperature and humidity changes when out in the field. This knife is an excellent choice for a collection or a special knife for out in the field.
