Description: This exceptional hunter by Emil Bucharsky has a look and feel all of its own. The blade is formed from CPM 154 CM stainless steel and has a hand rubbed satin finish. CPM 154 CM is a modification of 440C martensitic stainless steel to which molybdenum has been added. CPM 154 CM has better corrosion resistance, better wear resistance and better hot-hardness than 440C. The end result is a knife that offers better edge retention, higher attainable hardness, and better through hardening characteristics than 440C. The CPM process produces very homogeneous, high quality steel characterized by superior dimensional stability, grindability, and toughness compared to steels produced by conventional processes.
The fossil mammoth bark ivory handle encloses a hidden tang. A hot blued 1095 carbon steel frame meets perfectly both the mammoth ivory and the guard. The guard is finished off with 14kt gold twisted wire. Exceptional fit and finish throughout!
